Don’t be fooled, PennyForAThought.org isn’t a non-profit org. Instead, it’s just a young ad guy’s personal outlet for sharing interesting moments in life and his passion for the–ever changing–state of technology. From gadgets to adverting, alternative energies to web 2.o and weekend adventures to homemade pizza, Penny For A Thought is sure to please, sometimes offend and always be random.

The Penny:

I venture to say hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars in pennies are wasted each day. Why? Simply because of the penny’s lack of value to the majority. How do I know? Well, because I see it everyday; pennies littering the grounds of gas stations, parking meters, sidewalks, and lets not forget the “take-a-penny leave-a-penny” trays. You better believe I take them all.

Alone a penny is worth virtually nothing, combine five or ten and your getting somewhere. But think, what if we stopped neglecting the copper currency and put all of our pennies in one basket? Could it be enough to make a difference? Well, I’d like to find out.

At the year’s end (200 my readers will help choose one worthy organizations to receive all the pennies.

I’m not the guy who picks every penny up off the ground, but I am friends with him.
